OfficeMax offers up recycled paper

OfficeMax now will offer 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper for customers making self-serve copies at in-store print and document services, the office supply chain announced.

Customers can upgrade from 30 percent to 100 percent post-consumer paper for free for a limited time. The store’s copy machines have "Think in Green" stickers to encourage customers to take advantage of the offer.

Home Depot launches light bulb recycling initiative

The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, is launching a national in-store recycling program for consumer compact fluorescent light bulbs.  
Customers can bring in any expired, unbroken CFL bulbs and give them to store associates at all Home Depot stores. An environmental management company will then package, transport and recycle the bulbs to maximize safety and environmental compliance.
